Welcome to Howe Foot, special accommodation for Ulverston, Coniston and the Lake District

Howe Foot: Booking Terms and Conditions

The total amount for your stay is due one month before your stay and your cheque
should be made payable to “Howe Foot.” Unfortunately I do not take credit or debit cards. Alternatively you may pay by bank transfer. I will send you my business account details if you wish to pay that way. If you have made a late booking then cash or a cheque will be accepted on arrival to Howe Foot.

The cottage is strictly for just two people and smoking is not allowed in the cottage or in the grounds of Howe Foot.  Unfortunately I cannot accept pets, babies or children.

Due to the nature and high standard of the cottage, daily cleaning from me is essential to help maintain it throughout your stay. Whilst you are out, I will pop in and do a few tasks! I will empty bins and recycle where possible, clean the top of the Rayburn with daily enamel cleaner to prevent build up and wash down the slate work surfaces.  Tea-towels, hand towels, washing up liquid, liquid hand cleaner, kitchen roll,  washing powder for the washing machine,  foil and cling film, cooking oil, salt and pepper mills and cooking salt are provided as well as there being all the equipment/crockery etc that makes a kitchen workable. There is a fridge with icebox, washing machine, and CD provider with radio in the kitchen and a selection of CD’s.

I will clean the shower room each day and hoover through the cottage. If you are staying the whole week, then I shall put clean sheets on the bed for the forth or fifth nights stay. Bath and Hand towels, Guest Soaps, Shower Caps, Tissues, Toilet paper and a Hairdryer are also provided for your use.

The Woodburning stove will be cleaned and re-laid as necessary and firewood will be brought in for you.
The firewood that will be in the cottage on your day of arrival is included in the price of your stay, but further lots
will be charged for. There is central heating in the cottage and the Rayburn is constantly on so the cottage is always toasty
and the fire is an extra for your enjoyment. The hot water and central heating are both on timers. The flat screen TV has a built in DVD player and there  is a small collection of  DVD's  in the cottage.

Any damage or breakages must be reported back to me and depending on the value will be charged for. Care of the books, magazines and maps provided for your use would be appreciated.

Departure is 11am on your final day and I would be grateful if you could leave the cottage as you found  it.
