Otley Beck Cottage
Enchanting self-catering property 'Just for Two'.
Otley Beck Cottage is a completely new build but has all the character and charm of our Garden Cottage. It is an extension of our house but at the same time remains separate, completely private and secluded, with views out on to the fields and the beck which runs alongside the cottage.
There is a private parking area, small garden and patio to the front. You walk in through the porch and then you're in the kitchen where a beautiful aqua coloured Aga cooker remains constantly switched on.
An oak dining table "just for two" stands at the bottom end of the snug overlooking the beck. A well stocked bird feeder hangs just outside the windows, which attracts a variety of birds. Amongst the less common regular visitors are gold finches, black caps, green finches, siskins, garden warblers, linnets and the greater spotted woodpecker.
A gorgeous wood-burning stove stands in the snug, there's a stunning shower room with retro fittings and a dreamy gallery bedroom with king-sized bed. Oak beams, curved walls and quirky nooks and crannies add to the character of the cottage and everything has been made with enormous care, thought and dedication. My husband, Martin, is completely responsible for the build and we have pooled our ideas on design, comfort and décor!
As with Garden Cottage, Otley Beck is 'Just for Two'. There is a downstairs bedroom, available only by prior arrangement, for couples who need separate beds or for friends sharing.
